What you’ll be expected to do:

Finding interesting companies: You will play a key role in sourcing and meeting potential investment opportunities. This could mean going to conferences, demo days, and meet-ups. We expect you to become a real part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to develop relationships with outstanding entrepreneurs.
Evaluate prospective investments: You will assist in the overall diligence on specific companies we are considering investing in, or an entire category of startups we are evaluating. Your efforts will be critical in helping us decide what investments we make.
Working with portfolio companies: You will have opportunities to partner closely with portfolio companies and help our founders with hiring, business development, follow-on fundraising and more.
Special projects: You will be taking initiatives (hopefully some that you come up with) and projects to help us become better in what we do as a team.

Intense Curiosity: This role is well suited to informational omnivores with both an insatiable hunger to learn about new technologies and business models and the ability to rapidly learn about a new domain or company category.
Analytical & Business Judgement: Strong analytical skills to understand both quantitative data and qualitative evidence as we evaluate investment opportunities, and then communicate results effectively.
People Skills: Outlier IQ and EQ with high empathy for founders; ability to collaborate with colleagues, navigate relationships in the technology ecosystem, and ensure that entrepreneurs have an excellent experience engaging with our firm.
Communication Skills: Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate in an effective way to different audiences in both verbal and written formats.
Execution Muscle: Ability to navigate tight deadlines autonomously, juggle a long list of competing priorities, and move fast without compromising sharp attention to detail.

When would I be expected to start?

You should be able to start full-time by May/June, 2023.

Is the role remote or on-site?

The role is remote. However, you are expected to be based in Pakistan. It's important to be in the same time zone and be available to meet founders in person and do on-ground research as needed.

How much work experience is expected?

People with or without work experience, both, are encouraged to apply. We can co-author the compensation plan to suit where you are in your career.

What if I’m not from a finance background?

People from all academic backgrounds can apply. We are running an open process to get a diverse pool of candidates. You don't have to be from a certain school or finance background. If you have good judgement when it comes to people, businesses, and how the future might look, we want to hear from you.
